Merry Christmas!!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. We did. Brandon, Meagan and I traveled down to Ridgeway for the weekend of the 20th and 21st. It was nice to see my family, including my cousin who is in the army and lives in Washington. We then spent Christmas Day with Brandon's family and really enjoyed ourselves.

As for baby news, I'm now almost 38 weeks. I had an appointment on Christmas Eve and was not dilated at all. The doctor said that more than likely, Baby Robertson wasn't coming in 2008. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. I'm so ready to meet her and welcome her into our family!! I still feel very good overall. I just get really tired climbing stairs or trying to put on my socks! Brandon just laughs at me :) I'm hoping that my next post will have baby pictures attached!

I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year!!

31 1/2 Weeks--Not Much Longer Now

Hello Everyone! I hope that all is good with everyone during this hectic fall season. I know that we have something planned every weekend until after the baby arrives! I guess that staying busy is a good thing!!

Speaking of the baby, we had some good news at our ultrasound last week. They were able to see that her kidney was developing like it should be. Which means everything should be okay. They have decided to do an ultrasound on her once she is born to see if the cyst is still there. But no reason to worry right now.

We spent a few days up in Duluth with Meagan in the end of October for Parent's weekend. We had a great time. We got to meet some of her friends and got to see where she is working. She is doing great up there and we are very proud of her!!

That's it for now. I'll try to post again soon!

Last Weeks Dr. Updates

Well, ultrasound #4 didn't go as well as hoped. They found a cyst on one of the babies kidney's. As of right now, all we can do is wait and hope and pray that it goes away on it's own. We now have ultrasound #5 scheduled for Nov. 4th so they can check on the cyst. Other than that, they finally got all the measurements and I was able to see her heart beating. That was pretty amazing!

We also found out that she is either going to come a little early or going to be pretty big when she comes out. As of last Tuesday, she was measuring at 27 weeks, when I was only 25 wks, 2 days. Hopefully she just comes a little early!! I also did my gestational diabetes test this past week and found out that I'm in the clear on that one.

Less than 14 weeks until we meet the newest member of our family!

I hope that everyone is doing well!!

Sorry Everyone, I'm just not a good blogger. I can say that I'll try harder, but I can't keep any promises :)

Okay, so what is going on with us? Well, 1st of all, we took Meagan up to Duluth on August 28th and we all teared up as we said our good-bye. But, she has adjusted to college life very well and even found herself a job in a gift shop @ Canal Park. She says that she enjoys her classes and is doing her homework, but I think that she is enjoying every aspect of college life. We are very proud of her! This is a picture of Brandon and Meagan in her dorm room.

As for my growing stomach, that is doing well too. We have found out that we shouldn't have jumped to conclusions in the very beginning by calling the baby a boy and really hope that she doesn't have too many counseling bills for that. Yep, we found out that we are going to have a little girl in January. We are so excited and of course I've already been shopping multiple times for her!

I had an ultrasound in early Sept that didn't go so well. She wasn't in the right position so they couldn't tell the gender or get hardly any measurements. Plus, the doctor told me that I had Placenta Privia. I was pretty bummed about that. I had another one a few days later where they said that my placenta was kind of low, but wasn't Placenta Privia. She also told us that we were having a little girl, but still couldn't quite get the right angle to get her measurements. So now I have another one scheduled for next Tuesday. I sure hope that she is cooperating more next time since that will already be my 4th ultrasound.

A few other things going on, we just celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past Monday. Wow, this year has just flown by. We also just put our townhouse on the market and are crossing our fingers that it sells in this horrible market. If anyone knows anyone looking for a townhouse in PL, just let me know!!

Well that is it for now, I'll try to update again next week after my doctors appointments!!

Doctor Appt

Well, I had my 18 week doctor's appt this morning. All is well. The doctor actually said "it looks like you are having the perfect pregnancy." All I could think about was my ankles being 5x their normal size, but if that is all I have to worry about right now, I shouldn't complain!! I'm just happy that everything is going well and seems to be on track. Doc said that I should feel the baby kicking any day now!

Our ultrasound is scheduled for Sept 4th. I told Brandon that he needs to make the decision if we find out the gender or not. I'm torn on the subject. I would love to know in order to plan, yet everyone says that the surprise is SO amazing. So anyway, I'll just go with whatever he decides.

Hope everyone is having a good August :)

Update

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I'm not a very good blogger! Just a quick update since my last post. I'm now over 16 wks pregnant and everything is still going well. My last doctor's appointment was on July 11th and I had lost 4.5 lbs. I thought that it was good and my doctor didn't seem worried. My next appoint is August 8th. I do think that our peanut had a growth spurt this past weekend. I was really tired all weekend and then this morning when I went to put on my regular pants, they didn't shut. I guess that the maternity clothes may be here to stay (until January at least).

We've been keeping pretty busy all summer long. Brandon plays volleyball every Friday night and we had a lot of family outings on both sides. We survived Meagan's 18th birthday and her graduation party. Her party was fun for everyone!! The picture is of my nephew, Nick and nieces, Annabelle and Rachel on their drive home after the party. They really enjoyed swimming at Steve and Margy's and playing with Meagan's cousins.

Speaking of Meagan, she just found out that she is going to have 3 roommates at UMD. They will be in one of the dorm's suites. It should be a lot nicer than being in a small dorm room. Plus, they have their own bathroom. That is way better than sharing with a floor full of girls! I'm interested to see if they actually clean it though!!
I would like to say that I will be better at posting more often, but I can't make any promises. I hope all is well with everyone! Talk to you soon.

Graduations and My New Nephew

Okay, like I said in my last entry, we have been pretty busy this spring. 1st, my little brother Tom (known as "T" to me) graduated from Luther High School on May 25th. Gosh I'm getting old. T is planning on going off to Eau Claire this fall. He still doesn't know what he is going to major in. Probably beer pong for the 1st semester! Here is a picture of T and Grandma Donna at his grad party.

Then on June 6th Meagan graduated from Prior Lake High School. As I said before her plans are to attend UMD this fall and major in accounting. I'm sure that beer pong will be involved in her schedule as well. (Kids these days, god knows that I would have NEVER done anything like that :) ) We had about 20 people over to our house before graduation for a pre-graduation party. She ended up have a beautiful night for graduation. Everything went very well. The picture is of Meagan and Brandon before graduation.

Last but not least, Kellen McDermott Groth was born around 2:15pm on 6.12.08. He is just a perfect little baby boy. We got to go down and spend some time with him this past weekend. I can't wait to see him again. I'm so happy for both Andy and Maggie. They are so proud of their new little bundle of joy!
